1. The original Dance Craze album introduced me to ska almost 20 years ago. The album changed my life, encouraging me to search out albums from all the bands: The Specials, The Selecter, Madness, Bad Manners, The (English) Beat (sadly, the Bodysnatchers only put out singles, so I couldn't get anything for them in the States)/5(24).

4. Great Reissues of all 3 original Go-Go's albums - the 3 new () expanded editions on the Edsel label (Beauty & The Beat is a 2CD set) have every rare track that was included on the "Valley Of The Go-Go's" set from the 's, plus more, including the version of Cool Jerk from the CD "Greatest"/5().

7. 87 Evolutions is the most valuable disc in the collection, IMO. Each tune from the album starts off in its most raw form. David singing usually just the skeleton of the lyrics, but the vocal melody already present. David or someone else may clap to keep the beat, and Sykes plays along/5().

9. The beat is so good that the instrumenal intro became a party favorite that d.j's would throw on for other m.c's to rap over back in the day. The flip side "new rap language" is one of the very first posse tracks with Spoonie and his pals Treacherous 3 all kicking tongue-twisting, complex rhymes over a very taut party rockin' beat/5(16).
